What overarching vision are you pursuing with your brand and how is this reflected in your products?
We as brand, have an important mission: to improve everyone’s performances through science. In any product we create, we try and create pieces of the future, with technology that seamlessly integrates within the product, to offer incredible functionality and design. This is why our technology is ever evolving and the products we create offer unique features, like the Piuma, the lightest sunglasses in the world, or our IRID technology, able to instantly adapt to light in less than 1 second – automatically and without any battery. Our claim “science loves performance” clearly defines this mission, that we follow in everything we do.
What innovative measures are you implementing to retain customers in the long term?
We believe customer retention in the long run doesn’t need to be innovative. It needs to be human, attentive, comprehensive and kind. Incredibly technological products don’t create happy customers, but incredible customer service creates people, that are loyal for life. We completely avoid the usage of chatbots and we provide the same customer service, we’d like to receive as clients ourselves. Our best-in-class 4.9 average on trustpilot is a testament of that.
What was the best feedback you have ever received?
The first time we had our electronic lenses at a test event on the snow, there was one guy who tried it on and … literally couldn’t believe his eyes. He said that “it felt like magic”. This is exactly what we work so hard to achieve: products that feel like magic.
What inspires you – in life and in your profession?
My colleagues. I think the best part of building a brand is the people that make your team, the impact you have in their lives and the spark you can instill in them. I do it for my people, for those who trusted our vision and embarked on a journey that isn’t always easy.
Is there a sustainable innovation project, that you are particularly proud of?
The Bio Project with IRID lenses. To achieve such an incredible lens harnessing, the power of the sun alone was an ambitious goal, but we had as key point, that the product must be without batteries. Plus, we redesigned the whole thing to have the most sustainable materials available on the market, achieving a pair of goggles, that is a true sustainability statement.
